What: Simone will be addressing the importance Simone will be addressing the importance of youth athlete nutrition, how to properly fuel the body for sport and practical examples of how easy it is to do at home.
Where: Athletic Institute, 21/51 Lancaster Road, Wangara
When: Saturday, April 29th from 3.00pm to 4.30pm
Cost: $75.00 for 1 parent and maximum two children (suitable for athletes aged 12-18)

More about the presenter: Simone Allen
Simone Allen is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, an Advanced Sports Dietitian and has just stepped down from being a Board Member of Sports Dietitians Australia, after 11 years. Simone works with several sporting groups including being the Sports Dietitian for West Coast Eagles and Triathlon WA. Simone is also lecturing in Exercise and Sports Nutrition at Curtin University. As the previous WA Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach for 15 years, and travelling with the team, she understands and appreciates the importance of realistic and appropriate advice, particularly for younger athletes. This is especially important, as they are constantly developing while putting their bodies are performing under constant stress. Simone
Simone specialises in sports such as Triathlon, Adventure Sports, Gymnastics and Dancing. She also has provided nutrition services to the Triathlon Excellence Program, professional triathletes, Athletics Australia, Sports Medicine Australia, the West Coast Eagles Football Club, Tennis West, Equestrian WA, WA Squash and Swimming WA. Simone is still active herself and has enjoyed participating individually and as part of a team in the Busselton Half Marathon in 2013 and 2016, Busselton Ironman 70.3 (Half Triathlon) in 2013 to 2015 and the Busselton Jetty Swim in 2013 to 2016. Simone is currently training for the Busselton Ironman 70.3 in May this year.
